Outcomes Document: Pacific Regional Workshop on Advancing Women’s Representation in Parliaments

From 19-21 April 2006, the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Secretariat for the Pacific Community, Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, UNDP and UNIFEM organised a Pacific Regional Workshop on Advancing Women's Representation in Parliaments, which was held in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Participants included parliamentarians, ministers, national directors and civil society organisation delegates from Australia, the Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, New Zealand, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna. Participants endorsed the attached Outcomes Document.
