Aeau Tima Leavai entered national politics in 2021, winning the Falealupo seat under the Human Rights Protection Party—becoming one of the few women elected that year and strengthening women’s representation in Parliament. After briefly stepping down due to personal circumstances, she returned to politics in 2025, reaffirming her commitment to public service, women’s leadership, and continuing her family’s long-standing legacy.
