Marie Louise Paulette Milne, born around 1990, is from Eton village in Shefa Province, Vanuatu. She has a diverse heritage, including connections to Chief Roi Mata and Scottish French ancestry. Milne graduated from Ecole Colardeau in 2007 with a baccalauréat in accounting and enterprise management.
Her career in public service began in 2018 when she became the chairwoman of town planning in Port Vila. She was elected twice to the Port Vila City Council and served as the city’s deputy mayor. In the 2025 Vanuatu general election, Milne was elected to the Parliament of Vanuatu, representing the Port Vila Constituency as a member of the Green Confederation Party. She is currently the only woman in Vanuatu’s 52-member Parliament.
Milne is recognized for her leadership and dedication to public service, advocating strongly for women’s issues and community development. She is passionate about improving the lives of women and children in Vanuatu and is committed to promoting gender equality.
